Crockpot Teriyaki Pork Roast

3/4 cups unsweetened apple juice
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 teaspoon ginger
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon pepper

Mix these seven ingredients. 
Place roast in crockpot. Pour mixture over and turn to coat.
Recipe calls for 3 pound pork roast.
Cook on low heat for 7 to 8  hours.

In saucepan combine 3 tablespoons cold water and 7-1/2 teaspoons cornstarch. Gradually add meat juices from cooked roast. Stir to thickened.

Muffins that Taste Like Donuts


1-3/4 cups flour
3/4 cup sugar
1-1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/3 cup oil
1 egg
3/4 cup milk

1/2 cup melted margarine
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Mix all dry ingredients together and set aside
Mix oil, egg, milk
Combine both mixtures.Mixture will be lumpy.
Fill 9 greased muffin tins 3/4 full
Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes until golden
While still hot, dip in melted margarine and then in cinnamon sugar

Grasshopper Brownies

Brownie Layer:
1-1/4 cup melted margarine
1-1/4 cups cocoa
5 eggs
2 cups flour
3 cups sugar
1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder

Mix all together. Spread in large 11" X 17" greased pan
Bake at 325° for 25 minutes
Do not overbake

Grasshopper layer:
3/4 cup softened margarine
3 cups confectioners sugar
3 Tablespoons creme de menth*

Mix like frosting and spread over cooled brownie layer
(* May substitute 1 tsp peppermint flavor and a drop of green food coloring)

Glaze:
Melt 6 Tablespoons margarine
Stir in 1 cup chocolate chips
Spread over green layer
Allow to set overnight or refrigerate until glaze hardens.

Whoopie Pies

Cream:
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar

Add:
1 egg

Sift and add alternately with milk and vanilla:
2 cups flour
1/2 cup cocoa
1-1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt

Combine:
1 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla

Drop onto greased sheets by spoonfuls
Bake 425° for 7 minutes
Don't let them burn

Cool and fill

Filling
3/4 cup shortening
1-3/4 cup confectioners sugar
1/2 cup marshmallow fluff
1/4 cup milk
drop of vanilla
