Toll House Cookie PIe

Ingredients: 
2 eggs
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter, melted and cooled
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts, optional
One 9-inch  pie crust, unbaked

Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.Beat the eggs in a large bowl until they are foamy. Then beat in the flour, sugar and brown sugar. Then beat in the butter. Fold in the chocolate chips and spoon into the pie shell.Bake for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Serve with whipped cream or ice cream

Gramma Tibbitts' Hot Milk Sponge Cake

1 cup sugar
2 eggs
pinch salt

Beat together until light
Add:
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
Stir all together

Then add:
1/2 cup hot sweet milk in which 1 Tablespoon of butter (or margarine) is melted.
Add vanilla or 2 teaspoons lemon extract
Beat all with electric mixer

Bake at 350° about 30 minutes
Do not grease or flour pan. Use 8" square or 9" round
Line with waxed paper

For Boston Cream Pie
Split this one layer cake horizontally. Fill and glaze.
