Chocolate Chip Cookies

1-1/3 cups Crisco
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
3 cups plus 1/8 cup flour
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped nuts
6 ounces chocolate bits

Oven 375°
Mix shortening, sugars, eggs and vanilla thoroughly.
Combine dry ingredients; stir in.
Sometimes a bit more flour depending on the weather.
Mix in nuts and chocolate bits.
Drop by teaspoon onto sheets.
Bake 8-10 minutes.
Makes 8-10 dozen 2-inch cookies.
