Snickerdoodles

Mix:
1 cup shortening
2 eggs
1-1/2 cups sugar
Stir in:
2-3/4 cups flour
2 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon salt

Chill dough.
Make little balls out of dough and roll in 2 tablespoons sugar mixed with 2 teaspoons of cinnamon.
Bake at 400° for 8-10 minutes

These burn easily. Watch carefully.
Remove from the oven when still a bit puffed up.
