Melt together:
1-1/2 sticks margarine
2 cups brown sugar
Beat in:
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt (optional)
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1-6 ounce bag chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
Spread in greased 13" X 9” pan
Bake 350° for 25-30 minutes
Cool and cut
